Equivalent to first year college chemistry course. Emphasis: chemistry as an experimental and quantitative science. Analytical instruments: Infrared Spectrophotometer; UV-Visible Spectrophotometer; Gas Chromatography; HPLC. Projects are performed in small groups on each instrument. Content exceeds the AP syllabus.
