This class will focus on current topics in cell biology such as stem cell research, cancer research, molecular biology research techniques, and the human microbiome. Cell Biology will focus on microscopy technique and application, focused primarily on Eukaryotic cells. Lab modules include chemosensory response, growth and population dynamics, unicellular mating, micro-evolution, microscopic life around us, phagocytosis, and toxicology. Students will culture, and maintain living organisms and perform experiments. Fieldwork is included as part of this course.
